This city is formerly known as Mogador. Essaouira has experienced the passage of many peoples, from the Romans to the Portuguese, not to mention the Arabs and Berbers. You will visit the wood Skala Fort and Thuya carved by artisans, we will walk through the narrow streets of the medina, where you can see hundreds of crafts. Essaouira knew many civilizations - including the Portuguese occupation, which affects much of its architecture - however, it remains a beautiful little town with a lot of history.
Due to its size and characteristic blue doors, washed walls and location, it is also considered as Morocco's "jewel of the Atlantic". Your visit includes the Mellah - the Jewish headquarters, and the beach. There is an annual festival of "Gnawa Music" where many musical groups come from different parts of Africa and the world. Lunch Moroccan way fish-freshly cooked cooked to order, a very authentic experience. After that you will have some free time before we take you back to Marrakech where the tour ends.
